We are looking for a Lab Technician to perform a variety of synthesis and support tasks throughout the lab and facility.


  • Execute procedures in the laboratory with minimal supervision.
  • Perform defined experiments based on SOPs
  • Weigh out chemicals and operate milling equipment.
  • Create dried samples using a spray dryer.
  • Load and unload furnaces with samples.
  • Assist engineers in developing methods and procedures.
  • Receive, uncrate, transport, and assemble equipment.
  • Clean laboratory glassware and tools.
  • Empty satellite waste containers.
  • Perform a variety of facilities tasks including handling shipments, minor repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Receive and check-in chemicals in our inventory system.
  • Conduct chemical inventories throughout the lab.
  • Maintain stock of consumables ranging from sample vials, to machine screws, to tubing hardware.
  • Participate in safety duties including conducting inspections, safe work practices, and helping other staff to work safely.


  • Experience working in laboratory or industrial environments.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Congenial and friendly relationship with coworkers.
  • Ability to lift, squat, kneel, use step ladders, manipulate hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills including using email, creating and editing spreadsheets and documents in G-Suite and MS Office.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in a bonus and equity plan.
